The purpose of this course is to give a general summary of the history of the church to modern times. This semester will deal with the decline of the Medieval church, the Conciliar period, the Renaissance, the Reformation and Counter-Reformation and the rise of modern denominationalism. Our study of 1 & 2 Corinthians will be chronological through the text as we consider historical, grammatical, linguistic, and theological context.
