Men decide in all stages of life to become preachers. Some, like Timothy, are young. Others, like Saul of Tarsus, change careers. Some decide in their retirement years. Our program is set up to train men, no matter what age they decide to preach.

Preparing for Ministry
Enrollment and Student Life
Becoming a student begins with completing an online application; once references are reviewed, you will be contacted for the next steps. It is recommended to apply as early as possible to allow ample time for registration and raising support. The program offers flexibility with full-time and part-time tracks: full-time students commit to 30 class hours per week, while part-time students can select specific days and classes that fit their schedule. While FSOP cannot currently issue student visas for international applicants, those outside the United States are welcome to earn credit by participating in classes online.
Financial Support and Housing
Tuition is free of charge, though students are responsible for a $5 registration fee per semester and raising their own support for textbooks and living expenses. Upon acceptance, the school provides a financial worksheet and guidance to help you personalize a support plan and determine your specific needs. Because of the rigorous schedule (8:30am to 4:15pm plus evening studies), full-time students are not permitted to hold secular jobs, except during summer breaks. Regarding accommodations, limited housing is available for qualified single students at a minimal cost, while the office can assist married students in finding affordable local rentals.
Career and Ministry Opportunities
FSOP provides a diploma of completion and actively assists graduates in finding ministry roles. Due to a significant shortage of preachers, those willing to relocate often find work immediately upon graduation, ranging from church planting to serving established congregations of various sizes. Students also gain practical experience during their studies by participating in chapel and filling in for area congregations. The school’s operations and stability are maintained through the generous monthly and one-time financial gifts of individuals and congregations who share the vision of training the next generation of preachers.
