Study Notes on Genesis-Exodus
Since God exists and the Bible is his word, knowledge of the Bible is needed by everyone. To those who have not had the opportunity to attend a school where Bible study was encouraged or who have not had some special Bible training, practical materials are indispensable. Having preached and taught Bible classes for a number of years, I have found that having or developing an outline covering the subject to be studied is most helpful in learning.
These study notes are not to be considered as commentary; however, in providing summary sections and headings it is realized this can not be avoided. Those using the notes should recognize that the goal and objective before the writer has been the desire to prepare brief notes which will assist the student in studying the Bible text itself.
The American Standard Version, 1901, has been the English text used in preparing the notes. Study Bibles such as the Dickson or Berkeley (The Modern Language Bible) are helpful for their
teaching aids. Having a good Bible Dictionary is a must for any study of the Bible.
The individual will develop confidence and appreciation for the Bible in direct proportion to his knowledge, faith, and experience in “handling aright the word of truth.” It is with this in mind that these and other Study Notes have been prepared and published.
